“American Idol” – Paltry Stuff
The American Idol competition for 2011 is almost over. Suits me.
What we got from Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler this year is the worst judging of pop music I’ve heard in my life. Simon Cowell might have been mean, but at least he gave us something more than horse-manure superficiality in his opinions.
The judges went wild for Haley’s cover of a Led Zeppelin song, and, yes, it was a risky move on her part and she did an engaging job on it; but going wild–overreacting–was simply foolish. Haley fell down at one point, and when Lopez mentioned it in a consoling manner, it was nothing short of patronizing. Surely Lopez’s words meant absolutely nothing to the girl.
If, by the way, the competition comes down to Scotty vs. Lauren, it’s gonna be a crashing bore.
American Idol is paltry.
I hope may the best contestant win. If Scotty will win, he will be another country singer just like Carrie Underwood. Some people think that Lauren has amazing voice but she lacks confidence.
