The above link is how this musical adventure started. It was a project of mine to simply have a "maze" of a website to keep people interested in surfing and discovering all kind's of weird free music and stuff that I had laying around when I used to play around designing websites.

I got the idea when putting together a friends site to serve up his music demo site for people to explore. He was not very thrilled with what I came up with. His site about having fun with your job doing music is still up and running but incomplete. I'll be discussing with him about this plan and make him do it rather he likes it or not...LOL But that remains to be seen. It is after all HIS music to give away for free. Actually the name of his musical project (band) is FUNJOB

Other sites include The Broke Brothers. Which was a hard partying band I played with in the 80's. We were mostly a cover band but I thought some of the best music I have worked with were written during this crazy time in my early to mid 20's. You often think drug's sex and rock and roll...But we were more like TONS of 3.2 beer and getting trashed on stage and rock and roll... Then staying up all night after the gig with TONS moor 3.2 beer.

Another site I threw together while practicing web design was D&G Arts. This was a house I shared with a close friend and musical mentor with amazing talent. With the 2 of us hanging out all day with a house full of friends (and instruments) weird things started getting recorded. It contains some great music and bizarre Monty Python like comedy recordings.

Then there is the Enigmatic's. This was the project that came about after the Broke Brothers disbanded but still retains many of the same musicians. We were also a cover band but would often have Sat night "music writing recording sessions". These sessions created some of the best songs I have worked on. It was fantastic having all of us as a "song writing team"together and a 4 track recorder to make it happen.

I have changed my blogger.com blog from a ramblings about music and links and stuff to help promote this site. The Free Music Blog is up and running complete with all the posts it had before and now focuses exclusively for music and writing about free music in general. I have also set up a blog to write about my song writing methods and to perhaps give folks an idea of how to write songs and that it may be easier than it seems to come up decent material.. Not that my music is anything to write home about but it's MINE non the less.

Now the main music to download is a hodgepodge of Lo - Fi recordings usually done on a 4 track cassette recorder that I recorded over many years and with different people. I still have tons of this songs laying around in boxes that I plan on digitizing for people to enjoy.. Or put in a recycle bin. Ether is fine with me. Heck some of it belongs there.
